Himpunan Hijau at Dataran Merdeka

Wong Tack spoke to the crowd of about 20,000, some said 30,000, at around 5:30pm on 25th. November, Sunday: "You have come forward...Malaysia has come forward..."

14 days ago Wong Tack with a group of 70 people started the long walk from Kuantan. The people of all shapes, sizes, color and creed of ordinary folks, some young family with kids join them along the way. The crowd swelled up to 3000 on the 13th. Day and the phenomenal support of people mushroomed to 20,000 on the final day at Jalan Perak/Tengku Abdul Rahman junction next to Dataran Merdeka.

It was peaceful, a contrast to Bersih 3.0 rampage of beating, tear gas and chemically-laced water cannon.

The people are peaceful, how can they be otherwise?

The phenomenal support augur well for a better Malaysia.

Mr. Wong Tack said:" Our journey just started. We are renewed in our strength. In the days to come we will move with faster pace!"

He declared that the present Government no longer listens nor cares for the need of the people. We will have to do what we can to reclaim our democracy right in our country.

3 resolutions by Himpunan Hijau:
1. To close the Lynas plant.
2. All other projects like the many hydroelectric dams, mining using environmental unfriendly chemical should be reviewed.
3. Any future project should give ample time for people to review before deciding.
