HISHAM MUST APOLOGIZE & RESIGN: The people at peaceful rally have proved you wrong - Gobind

HISHAM MUST APOLOGIZE & RESIGN: The people at peaceful rally have proved you wrong - Gobind
In contrast to the previous Bersih rally, in the Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat , we saw very few policemen and they did not come with FRU tear gas and chemically laced cannon water. We had a completely peaceful gathering. Now you know who cause the chaotic situation previously. Read on to see why Hisham should resign...

Winning by popularity: Can Umno rely on the prime minister’s personal standing?

HISTORIC RALLY: Crowd size exceeds Bersih 3.0, it may be too late for Umno-BN!

HISTORIC RALLY: Crowd size exceeds Bersih 3.0, it may be too late for Umno-BN!

New Dawn has come for Malaysia: Reflection after Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat ( #KL112#HKR)

1. What an enormous sight to behold, the thousand upon thousand of people walking orderly in all sort of colours toward the Merdeka Stadium. The equatorial sun shine heat may not be that soothing ; none is not sweating. Thank God there were some cloud and gentle breeze to cheers the day.

2. Discipline, considerate and matured citizens. Just to relate a moment when I was showing my displeasure to a 3 motorbikes-convoy through the massive crowd, the people around me were understanding, accepting but did not pour petrol to my anger fire. Good not to react to minor provocations all the way.

3. There were no trace of enmity, alienation but friendly and warm whenever we greet and exchange greetings or strike up a small talk.

4. One friend of mine even found a Malay stranger end up paying for his drink. Where else do you find this?

5. Is so strange to the extend of being magical, the delight in the fellowship...when you find everyone as though we were from the same school, alumni; be it in a passing remark, you find the togetherness and the spirit of kinship, if I can use it. We were from the school: ABU!

6. There were 65 to 80% Malay this time round. We are so happy to see our Malay brethren coming out in throngs. We rejoiced to know that the Malays who are the majority is going to make the difference in the ballot box. This time Ah Cheat Kor is going, gonna!

7. So many Makchik, Pakchik, youngsters and even kids. The beauty of them is the whole family came, young and old. Some even in wheel chairs.

8. Phenomenon is this: you can see from their facial expressions, the serenity and faith that this gathering is making history. In another word, this is the last largest gathering ever in Malaysia. They want to be counted! If not, in wheel chairs also want to come?! The next big protest will be no more us but the Umno/BN supporters, they: the opposition !

9. Festivities. There are those who come in style! Special colourful hair, clothings, masks. One even brought his monkey dressed up sitting in the hind seat. (See attached photos)

10. Horns and vuvuzelas. Ah so many, so noisy at time drown the speakers.
Remember, it is a time for joy, to celebrate and cheers in welcoming a better Malaysia. If Ah Cheat Kor and his Umno/BN gang take light of it, they may suffer the fate of being shown the door in the eminent election.

Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat, Merdeka Stadium, 12/1/2013 2-5pm.

People's uprising assembly

We from Melaka are all excited to get going.

Police permit was granted for it. However, subsequently suggested, last minute, for changing to a bigger stadium. The organiser had confirmed the venue will not be changed.

Stadium Merdeka had also been approved officially for use.

A little background story for those still in the blur what is this Kebangkitan is all about:
1. Months ahead PR had been going round every state in Malaysia organising rallies known as Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat

2. Now this Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat, Merdeka Stadium, 12/1/2013 2-5pm will be the culmination of all the rallies. A national scale.

3. As has been stated ahead permit for venue and police permit have all been obtained. This will array a lot of uncertainty in many minds and lots of people will feel free to attend.

4. The organising committee is headed by PAS Vice President Mat Sabu.

5. We have been told to bring a little salt each, in case, you know what it is for right? (tear gas neutraliser/ or symptomatic reliever, comforter)

6. Remember not to bring any invasive object. Only things like towel, water, cup, umbrella, walking shoes... Etc what you need like a little money. Of course your media broadcasting gadgets...iPad, iPhone , camera.

7. Be clear what we are going for:
A. To show we have enough of the present regime... Whether we are Yellow: Bersih 8 demands, Green: anti-Lynas and Environmental concern, Orange: Felda interest, Red: oil royalty.

B. meet up with like minded citizen of Malaysians from all walks of life...

My friend just cautious me the following;

Anyway be safe for tomorrow - as usual interested parties will plant instigators to stir up trouble for WORLD's Attention. It's a well known Anarchists tactic - as a young socialist during Uni days in UK - we always joined the anti-facist /anti National Front March - there we see the same group of people demanding that we confront the Government. Remember water and wet towels - else you will be crying!! BE SAFE

We are very near to the Twins Tower. The place is at Jalan Dato Abdul Razak
50300 Kuala Lumpur Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia
There are around a few thousands people listening to many less well known speakers. Most are waiting asking if Anwar is coming. Mat Sabu is already on stage. Will be be addressing the crowd soon.
Is quite dark, the field is wet and muddy, it is raining, dribbling , yet the people are staying and response will shout and cheers.

11:30pm
There are lots of people everywhere , suddenly it ring in my mind : "like the city that never sleep!"
These are people who have come from far and near congregating in KL, awaiting for the dawn.
You can be sure the crowd tomorrow will be the biggest in the history of Malaysia. That I am sure !
