A Black Day in Malaysian Parliament

             

Opposition MPs wear black yesterday in Parliament (9/3/15) as a sign of protest in support of imprisoned Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim .

The official ceremonial suits in Parliament yesterday was supposed to be white.

Anwar is still the Opposition Leader even though he is in prison while waiting for the royal pardon after his family filed a petition for it.

N. Surendran (PKR-Padang Serai MP) said that the opposition MPs will continue their protest so that the public can see what is happening. "The opposition leader must be released, that is our demand," he said.

Meanwhile, Anwar's daughter Nurul Izzah will meet the the Speaker of Dewan Rakyat concerning allowing Nurul to read Anwar's speech.
