"Cross-boundary pollution is politically complex, but it must be urgently addressed," said United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific executive secretary Dr Noeleen Heyzer, reported in Sunday Star.
Governments must do more and with greater urgency to stop destroying basic environmental resources for development.
The concentration of particulates in air pollution will increase the risk of heart, lung diseases and as well as cancer.
Look like this problem of haze has been a yearly affair for the past 20 years.
We can't be waiting for wind and rain to rescue us.
Asean countries must come together to solve this and other environmental issues together.
We are all citizens of the globe, let's do our part to protect our Eco system so that we all can enjoy living on a healthy earth.
