Well done Dong Zong for 325 Rally.

Dong Zong 325 Rally

People started gathering early even before we were there at 8 AM.
Rally started promptly at 11 AM, ended 12:30AM. The participants were so enthusiastic that there were no dull moment.
There were roughly 5 thousand people.
There were PKR leaders there. Among them were a few Malays and Indians.
When MCA Deputy Education Minister arrived, he tried to wave to the crowd, people began to boo  him.

In between speeches by different speakers, there were shoutings booing him to get lost. ( I was not sure of any tearing, his eyes were red even from a distant.)
Why people are so upset with the Government?

The shortage of teachers in Chinese primary schools since 1968. Why are there still a shortage of teachers by the thousands today? The Dong Zong President told us- the root cause is the monolingual educational policy of BN. 

The BN politicians have been promising especially before an election to settle the problem since 1968. Up to today, the  problem remains.

When the Dong Zong wanted the Rally today to high light their plight.  Muhyiddin said it is useless to have rally. He also said that that people should not politicized the problem. Wait and see Dong Zong will organize more protest if the BN government continues their empty promises!

Who want to politicize? The educational need of all the mother tongues are constitutionally provisioned. It is the minimal standard of a good caring government. If the people have been short changed, definitely it will be reflected in the ballot box.

Is the Rally useless?
Yes, according to Muhyddin.
The Rally helps encouraged us to soldier on to get justice done. Not so sure for others but I did! Must thank my friend, Charles who kindly provided to make the trip a pleasant one. Not to forget Dong Zong for the well organized rally. I will not forget this day for many years to come.
