Who caused the chaos in Bersih 3.0?
Who caused the chaos in Bersih 3.0
It was all peaceful, which was to the extent that some were asking me, "Is that all?" they were actually bored.
Can you imagine, just sitting down in protest. Boring to death.
To kill boredom. What could we do?
We sang Negara Ku, "Hidup, Hidup , Hidup Rakyat!" we chanted
Many took photos and videos.
Many made friends and chat.
Old friends caught up with each others.
I went to shook policemen's hands and thanked them for being in duty.
We sang "Bersih , Bersih..." song. I never heard it before, it was beautiful singing in the Malaysian street with all Malaysians young and old of all ethnic descents. A feeling you need to experienced for yourself.
Feeling or experience you will never find else where. Just share an episode with you, personal one.
I sat there among so many on the tar road, back to back with a youth. Hungry and thirsty. One Malay boy, to my right aged around 15 years, fed me with a portion of his chocolate. I took a bite, he took the remainder.
He offered me his bottle of water to drink. I took two mouthful and gave him back the extra. He needed it, I could not and should not finished it. Could not tell how I felt. Will remember him for life. What is better, he took down my name, we will be friend in Facebook.
Back to what else we did in such a boring rally.
We talked about, "We only want free and fair election, is that too much to asked?"
"Why is Najib so afraid of free and fair election ?" we speculated that he is going to be the Opposition leader if he dares to go for free and fair election.
Little does he (Najib) knows that so many who are in Bersih 3.0 came on our own accord and pay all our own expanses.
Why? Nothing better to do? No no no!
We were there because there is no free and fair election. No civil liberty. All of us who are there, at lease most if not all were doing it for our future generations.
We quoted John F Kennedy, or rather paraphrased something like this, "if a government does not allow a peaceful evolution for change, a violent revolution will be made inevitable.
Let me go on to chaos, (Had digressed so much on what we did.)
Now let me tell you briefly, no time to write in depth, too tired after just coming back from Bersih at around 8PM today.
Such a peaceful people rally; why did the police has to tear gassed and water cannoned us?
I heard, all hell broke loose, when some unknown daring ones broke the barricade and got into the Dataran Merdeka.
After that out of no where and every where, the tear gas was freely used. Up to after we had long gone looking for our way home; we still met more tear gas!
"Apalah lu?" "Cheh!"
What a pity! If only Hishammudin were to be more self assured, he would had allowed Bersih 3.0 sit-in protest in Detaran Merdeka. No police, no water cannon, no tear gas, no helicopter, no police truck or Waja.
We would be bored to death and come home early having no story to tell you.
Now, all the chaos, there are so many stories to tell. Must thank Hishammudin for a memorable Bersih3.0 (Better than Bersih 2.0) especially for my adult son who was first ever dared himself so near the gas canisters and water cannons that he said the skin burnt! He had taken so many good shots that he could showed his friends in the Facebook.
Stories, too many (that will be the next write up).
By the way, I am sadden as I write this now that Malaysians had injured, arrested and even died!
The chaos was all who to blame? Hishammudin will blame Ambiga, opposition leaders and who else? See the mass media tonight and tomorrow you will know.
Little does Hishammudin realize, all the photos, videos and testimonies will not lie. The time to bluff by controlled media is over!
For me, and many of us who were there, we know who, in our hearts and we will make sure it will be reflected in the ballot box. See you in General Election 13. We will tell the power that be who is responsible of all the chaos!
My personal story after Bersih 3.0

Why my family and I are going to Bersih 3.0?
When a regime cheats out rightly in an election, what can we do?
Warning to Umno/BN: We have seen Hosni Mubarak cheated the Egyptian election winning 99% of the seats, soon after that he got thrown out by an uprising of the masses.
What Umno/BN had done by the last minute changes on election bills in order to make it easier to cheat in an election is the last straw that break the camel's back (For many of us; I am).
I am angry and happy.
Angry: Instead of cleaner election, it is going to be worst.
Happy: We all going to make it a point to make sure we have a free and fair election. No more half past six democracy. I can Malaysian globally rising up!
As for me, Bersih 3.0 is the best peaceful sit-in- protest to awaken the deluded regime from its slumber. The Election Commission chief just declared that Malaysia has the cleanest electoral roll in the world.
When there is no free and fair election, it will be meaningless to vote. It is a mockery to democracy.
Just to quote an example, how can we allow a system that has such a great disproportion in seat allocation? ( eg. only 6K of voters in Putra Jaya seat as compare to 112K of voters in Kapal seat)
Not to mention lots more other cheating like gerrymandering, photom voters, dubious postal votes, instant IC voters and on and on the list knows no end.
Warning to Umno/BN: "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable" John F Kennady.
I am afraid if Umno/BN continues at the rate it is pushing its way through, the inevitable will happen. Indeed, there are already many signs that are pointing to the direction of violent which we do not welcome at all!
Do you not see Malaysia Spring coming?
I am 100% for all thinking Malaysian to rise up to go for Bersih 3.0 this Saturday. Take a break, bring your family along for a peaceful outing at Datarn Merdeka or any gathering near you.
Why? I like to have a peaceful Bersih Spring rather a violent Malaysia Spring!
Cheers! Malaysians the world over rising up with yellow waves ushering the glorious new Malaysia.
I am looking forward for the new dawn of a better Malaysia.
I have no doubt, what we are trying to do will come to past when Malaysian everywhere do our bit.
Together with you, we stand!
Blessings,
Fortpin, Melaka, Malaysia.

‘Amendments a mockery of electoral process’ | Free Malaysia Today
‘Amendments a mockery of electoral process’ | Free Malaysia Today
Ordinary folks must rise up to put a stop to this.
What can we do?
1. Make sure we go to vote and get others to vote. Those not register as voter, to get register at post office even though it may be late. It is better late than never, who knows if the election is held later, says September, they are still in time.
2. Go for Bersih 3, show your support for free n fair election.
3. Be trained as Polling and counting agents.
4. Spread the news to others through Internet. Those without Internet, we can by word of mouth, printed pages, Photosted articles.
5. Call up your friends and spread the news. At a minimal call one aday, we will multiply to a multitude when all of us do the same. Even others are not doing, we need to lead. It only take a spark to set the forest in flame.
6. Pray to God, fast regularly, say a meal or a day a week to pray for Malaysia and the leaders. Pray for evil leaders to fall, righteous ones to rise!
7. Think and see what else can you do within your sphere of influence...
We are living at a time such as this, we have the responsibility and opportunity to effect the change we want. Ordinary folk, alone has little power, just like a drop of water. Multitude of droplets will form the mighty ocean. When we unite, our power will change even the most wicked leaders. Look at Gaddaffi, Hosni Mubarak, they are gone!
Cheers! We are at the threshold of a better Malaysia!
