Look like David is always involve in warfare. We may not have that many physical enemies. We have many challenges and also enemies in the spiritual sense especially when we are in the business of bringing people into His Kingdom.

Why arrest Anwar? What about investigating Najib?
Based on an allegation, the police arrested Anwar to investigate on the case of sodomy.
What about the sworn SD made by RPK that DPM and company were involved in murder of the Mongolian girl? Why don’t they get to the bottom of the allegation. Why don’t they hold roadblocks and arrest the accused like in Anwar's case? Instead they want to arrest RPK.
People will have the perception that the arrest of Anwar is politically motivated and has NOTHING to do with upholding the law.

Many are asking why the police had to act in such a unprofessional way to arrest Anwar in spite of him wanting to report to the station at 2PM? By 12.55PM police commandos in balaclava yesterday went for the arrest! Can't they wait till after 2PM!?

The other was the three-day 1,600-personnel police operation to lock up the Federal Capital and the Klang Valley to thwart a massive demonstration in Parliament on Monday when there was not a single protestor - causing great and unnecessary inconvenience and hardships to the people.
The people are still waiting whether the Royal Police Commission set up in the begining of the Abdullah premiership and which made 125 recommendations to create an efficient, professional world-class police service – with the most important recommendation for an Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) – has turned out to be a total waste of funds!

In arresting Anwar Ibrahim outside his Bukit Segambut home just before 1 pm today, the police are being most provocative, unprofessional and untrustworthy.
Anwar had already undertaken to report to the police at 2 p.m after he had given his statement to the Anti-Corruption Agency in the morning, and to spring such an arrest well before 2 pm outside his house has deepened public concerns and fears that the police cannot be independent, professional, responsible and trustworthy in handling the latest Anwar case.
Coming close in the heel of the three-day 1,600-member police operation inconveniencing hundreds of thousands of people in the Federal capital and the Klang Valley completely without basis or justification – purportedly on the basis of “two speeches, two blogs and two SMS” and the lie of a top-level Pakatan Rakyat leadership meeting on July 9 to plot the non-existent demonstration in Parliament on Monday – public confidence in the credibility, efficiency and professionalism of the police has reached an all-time low.

Anwar calls upon Malaysian to remain calm!
This afternoon at 1:05 PM Anwar Ibrahim, former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, was arrested outside of his home in Kuala Lumpur. He was due to issue a statement at IPK KL (Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Headquarters) at 2:00 PM based on an agreement reached with the police on Tuesday.
Anwar Ibrahim was returning from the Anti Corruption Agency to his home after giving a statement pertaining to the police report that has been filed regarding suppression of material facts in the case involving him in 1998. He was accompanied by his senior legal team, staff, and security.
As he entered the neighborhood of his home, a contingent of ten police cars, half unmarked and half patrol, forced the two cars in Anwar Ibrahim’s entourage to stop. There was a contingent of 20 balaklava-clad masked commandos (UTK) who accosted him, reminiscent of the forces sent to arrest Anwar Ibrahim at his home in September 1998.
An officer approached Anwar Ibrahim and demanded that he accompany the police in an unmarked vehicle to the Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Headquarters. His lawyers were not permitted to travel with him to the police station.
This arrest has taken place less than fifteen hours after Anwar Ibrahim appeared live on Malaysian television for the first time since 1998 and announced to millions of viewers his intention to stand for election, and upon the formation of a new government, to lower the domestic price of fuel by 50 sen. The overwhelming majority of Malaysians expressed their support of his televised statement.
These events are deeply disturbing to us and indicate that this entire episode is a repeat of the actions taken against Anwar Ibrahim in 1998. During the last few weeks the government owned mainstream media has demonized and vilified him. His staff has been harassed and we see a conspiracy being hatched to thwart the political change that is imminent in Malaysia.
Under no circumstances will the people of Malaysia and the international community tolerate any harm coming to Anwar Ibrahim. We remind Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi of the promise he made to ensure Anwar Ibrahim’s protection.
We have been able to communicate with Anwar Ibrahim, who calls upon his supporters and the people of Malaysia to remain calm and to reject any attempts at provocation, which will give a pretext for an emergency situation to be declared.

Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim was arrested by the police just outside his home in Bukit Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, at 12.55pm today.

The de facto PKR leader was on his way back to his house after being questioned by the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA).
A team of police officers were waiting, according to lawyer R Sivarasa.
Anwar was driven away in a 4WD vehicle with tinted windows, escorted by a convoy of 15 patrol cars. They arrived at Kuala Lumpur police headquarters at 1.11pm.
It is believed that members of a special team from the serious crime division - sporting balaclavas and leather jackets - were also involved in the operation.
At 1.40pm, about 200 supporters and opposition parliamentarians were assembled outside the building. Among them is DAP leader Karpal Singh.
Anwar was to have met the police by 2pm to be questioned over the complaint of sodomy against him by a former aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
According to media reports today, a warrant of arrest had already been obtained, to be used in the event of a no-show.
Anwar's wife and PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail confirmed the arrest.
She told reporters in parliament that she had received a call from Anwar and that he had complained of rough treatment by the arresting officers.“I received a call from my husband that the police picked him up just before he reached the house," she said.
"I didn't have time to ask whether there was a warrant… He's on the way - this is my guess - to the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters, where he was supposed to report at 2pm."
Anwar also told her to return to their home first in order to calm their children and come to the police headquarters later."I'm apprehensive because my husband – it's been 10 years down the road. He is not well, he has a bad back for which he has (undergone) surgery," said Azizah, who appeared visibly distraughted and numbed by the news.
"From the brief conversation, he said that they (the police) were not gentle."
It is learnt that Anwar is to be charged under Section 377C of the Penal Code which relates to 'carnal intercourse against the order of nature'.
A recent amendment to the provision reads: 'Any person who has sexual connection with another person by the introduction of any object into the vagina or anus of the other person shall be punished with imprisonment or a term which may extend to 20 years and shall also be liable to whipping.'A number of the parliamentarians and Anwar's family members have been allowed into the IPK building, while journalists are being confined to the carpark.A small team of police light-strike force personnel, accompanied by a water-cannon truck, is keeping a watchful eye on supporters who are milling outside the compound.According to PKR MP Wee Choo Keong, who is inside the building, Wan Azizah and her two daughters - Nurul Izzah and Nurul Nuha - were allowed to see Anwar on the 7th floor at about 2pm.
At 2.35pm, Wan Azizah and her daughters, as well as Anwar's lawyer Sankara Nair came out of the building.

Najib: We're not responsible...
Today NST reports:
Disappearance of P. Balasubramaniam: Najib: We’re not responsible The deputy prime minister shrugged off the claims as baseless. He was speaking to reporters at the launch of Ibrahim Pahlawan Melayu (Ibrahim, the Malay Warrior), a memoir narrating the life and experiences of former armed forces chief Gen (Rtd) Tun Ibrahim Ismail. Najib, who is also defence minister, was asked on an ultimatum made by the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) for the government to "release" Balasubramaniam.Hindraf coordinator S. Jayathas, at a candlelight vigil held in Brickfields on Tuesday night, said Hindraf would organise a massive rally in three days' time if Balasubramaniam and his family were not released by then. Responding to this, Najib replied: "Then I guess you have to ask them (Hindraf)." Balasubramaniam made headlines last week with a statutory declaration linking Najib with the murdered Mongolian woman Altantuya Shaariibuu, but retracted it the next day.He and his family have since gone missing and on Saturday, his nephew lodged a report at the Gombak police station.
My comment:
Why did the reporters asked Najib? In fact there are lots of questions in the mind of the public concerning the Altantuya Murder Trial:
1. Who is the one with motive to kill Altantuya? the 2 policemen?
2. Who has the right to delete Altantuya immigration record? Why? Who is trying to cover up?
3. Who has the right to use the C4 explosives?
4. Why was the chief prosecutor of the trial was chaged at the last minute?
On and on there are alot of doubts in peoples' minds.
The credibility of our judiciary is being questioned!

Monorail, PORR off
Front page of today the Sun paper reports:
Kuala Lumpur: The government will spend RM160 billion on people-centred projects that will bring tangible benefits and improve the quality of life...
Projects that are not people-centred under the original plan will be put on hold ... These include the RM2 billion Penang Monorail and RM1.5 Penang Outer Ring Road...
Najib said the federal government was not punishing the voters for voting the Pakatan Rakyat.
These 2 projects were planned for Penang by BN government, now they are saying that these 2 projects are not priority and not people-centred. I cannot fathom the logic why the 2 projects are not people-centred since they are improving the transportation in Penang. Now they say they want to use the money for rural roads!
Any way 3.5 out 0f 160 billion is only 2% of the total budget. What more they are adding another RM30 billion to the budget (after 40% of fuel hike!) They are now giving RM1 billion to Sabah since SAPP wanted to give our PM a vote of no confidence.
The people had spoken, yet they have not heard. Looked like we need to speak louder in the next election.

First-world infrastructure, first-world mentality?

SMKSU Prefects’ Reunion Friday, June 20, 2008
Few months ago, I was invited to the Prefects’ Reunion of SMK Subang Utama to be held next week. I just received news that I could no longer attend the function because I’m an assemblyman from Pakatan Rakyat.
Two prefects have confirmed that the teachers have issued a threat to the prefects to withdraw their invitation to me and if not, the event would be cancelled.
I am upset with this. Let me explain to you why this threat by the teachers is so fundamentally wrong:-
this is a private function to be held outside the school; every past and present prefect is entitled to attend this event; and
I was the Head Prefect for 1995/1996 and was one of the pioneers to start this yearly reunion for the prefects.I am not a criminal or a bad role model. All I did was this, exercised my right to vote, exercised my right to stand for election, to stand up for my generation and to fight corruption. As a young person, I am not afraid to stand up for righteous principles, not afraid of intimidation by the ’supposedly powerful’ groups but today I am told that I am not a welcoming sight at a function which I championed and fought for many years ago.
In school, we were taught to be good role models and to be someone successful someday who will contribute positively back to the society. I have done just that. The very same people who taught me these values are now telling me that I am no longer accepted because I’m an assemblyman from Pakatan Rakyat.
Blogging about this brings tears to my eyes. Why? This is such a sad state for our schools to be in, for our young generation to endure and succumb to irrational threats like this. For 50 years, we were told not to question, not to challenge and not to speak up - even if it impinges on your fundamental rights.
I am not insisting to attend this function and neither am I insisting to be a special guest at the function. I am telling you - students, graduates, working adults and parents, if you choose to remain silent and succumb to threats like this, there is little hope left for Malaysia. It could be your daughter/son who’s in my place. Remember the young ones are watching. Some are being brain-washed. Some are now confused - here you have a 29 year old assemblyman who is speaking up against corruption for the sake of our nation and they’re told that this is not a welcoming figure and that she is not accepted at school or private functions.
I was a little exhausted prior to this because of work, complaints and issues but this has caused my heart to stir. It has sealed my heart for a cause. The cause is this - to continuously speak up against oppression in this nation. My conscience tells me I am right before God, I have not acted unfairly towards others by stealing taxpayers’ money and I am inspiring the young to stand up for what is right.
Our education system is trying to breed students who cannot think for themselves, issue threats when everything else fails. I am the ex Head Prefect of my school and I am entitled to attend the reunion to meet up with my fellow schoolmates, to catch up on old times and share some old jokes. I am now denied that right.

SMKSU Prefects’ Reunion Friday, June 20, 2008
Few months ago, I was invited to the Prefects’ Reunion of SMK Subang Utama to be held next week. I just received news that I could no longer attend the function because I’m an assemblyman from Pakatan Rakyat.
Two prefects have confirmed that the teachers have issued a threat to the prefects to withdraw their invitation to me and if not, the event would be cancelled.
I am upset with this. Let me explain to you why this threat by the teachers is so fundamentally wrong:-
this is a private function to be held outside the school; every past and present prefect is entitled to attend this event; and
I was the Head Prefect for 1995/1996 and was one of the pioneers to start this yearly reunion for the prefects.I am not a criminal or a bad role model. All I did was this, exercised my right to vote, exercised my right to stand for election, to stand up for my generation and to fight corruption. As a young person, I am not afraid to stand up for righteous principles, not afraid of intimidation by the ’supposedly powerful’ groups but today I am told that I am not a welcoming sight at a function which I championed and fought for many years ago.
In school, we were taught to be good role models and to be someone successful someday who will contribute positively back to the society. I have done just that. The very same people who taught me these values are now telling me that I am no longer accepted because I’m an assemblyman from Pakatan Rakyat.
Blogging about this brings tears to my eyes. Why? This is such a sad state for our schools to be in, for our young generation to endure and succumb to irrational threats like this. For 50 years, we were told not to question, not to challenge and not to speak up - even if it impinges on your fundamental rights.
I am not insisting to attend this function and neither am I insisting to be a special guest at the function. I am telling you - students, graduates, working adults and parents, if you choose to remain silent and succumb to threats like this, there is little hope left for Malaysia. It could be your daughter/son who’s in my place. Remember the young ones are watching. Some are being brain-washed. Some are now confused - here you have a 29 year old assemblyman who is speaking up against corruption for the sake of our nation and they’re told that this is not a welcoming figure and that she is not accepted at school or private functions.
I was a little exhausted prior to this because of work, complaints and issues but this has caused my heart to stir. It has sealed my heart for a cause. The cause is this - to continuously speak up against oppression in this nation. My conscience tells me I am right before God, I have not acted unfairly towards others by stealing taxpayers’ money and I am inspiring the young to stand up for what is right.
Our education system is trying to breed students who cannot think for themselves, issue threats when everything else fails. Allegation on Altantuya murder by Raja Petra Kamaruddin
The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor cannot remain silent on the latest ALLEGATION of blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin.
In a statutory declaration on June 18, 2008, Raja Petra accused Rosmah as among three individuals who were present when Altantuya was murdered on Oct 19, 2006.
Raja Petra further alleged:
“My informer states that Aziz was the person who placed the C4 on various parts of Altantuya’s body witnessed by Rosmah and Norhayati.
“I make this statutory declaration because I have been reliably informed about the involvement of these three people who have thus far not been implicated in the murder nor called as witnesses by the prosecution in the ongoing trial at the Shah Alam High Court.
“I also make this statutory declaration because I am aware that it is a crime not to reveal evidence that may help the police in its investigation of the crime.”

Oil price hike and Petronas
With the drastic rise of 40% petrol price, the prices of all goods are rising rapidly. This has caused an upheaval in the economy and much unhappiness among the people. businesses are stalling, and there is undertainty about the future.
Let us look at some of the reasons why the drastic rise of fuel price is too excessive:

As the production cost per litre is only 7.49 sen, don't you think RM2.70 per litre is too much?
There is no justification for pump price of petrol to be RM2.70 which is way above the price set in other oil producing countries in Middle East, Africa or South America.
With the increase of oil price in the world, as an oil exporter we should be making lots of money!Our natural resources should be used to help people and not to profit recklessly at their expense. Prime Minister Abdullah has a lot of explaining to do.
Petronas should be more transparent and be people friendly.
PETRONAS PROFIT
Petronas produces 650,000 barrels of oil each day, out of which 250,000 barrels were for export and the balance of 450,000 barrels for domestic consumption.
At US$130 per barrel, less US$10 for production cost, profit per barrel would be US$120.
Estimated profit per year would be 250,000 x 120 x 365 x 3.3= RMR 36.1 billion
If we include profits from natural gas, investments in other countries, Petronas’s earnings would reach record levels.
PETRONAS WEALTH TO REDUCE SUFFERING OF THE PEOPLE.
The evidence is definitely against any increase of pump prices for Malaysians. Pump prices should return to a reasonable level - the same as in other oil producing countries.
REFORM PETRONAS
Since its inauguration in Parliament in mid seventies, its operations have been shrouded in secrecy. It is time for Petronas to be answerable to Parliament, to open its accounts to the people and to institute new policies for a healthy and vibrant industry

Fuel price hike
How is the rising cost affectting the common man? Thousands assembled at the intersection of Odeon and Sogo, at 2.30pm on last Friday to voiced their disapproval at what possibly is the biggest petrol price hike, the world over, put out by our ruling government. I wonder at how the ordinary wage earners are to maintain their families on megre monthly incomes.
Really if the leaders were truly committed to the Rakyat and were honest and not wasteful, the Rakyat would not have given vent to this much of anger. All those Billions wasted on Mega Projects, in wasteful expenditure in keeping a bloated and sluggish bureaucracy to work as a mere vote bank for the ruling party to remain in control.
The token 10% cut in entertainment, is a mere drop in the ocean, does not reflect the sincerity of the Federal Government. Give up your overseas holidays – we tell our leaders, change your life styles, ours is already at the rock bottom.

I counted the slices, there are only 23 slices! Imagine a simple slice of bread cost more than 12 sen! How to live?

KUALA LUMPUR - Corruption in Malaysia has reached a critical level as the country falls in international rankings, a graft watchdog announced Thursday, warning the government to act or lose its competitiveness. The UN's Asia-Pacific Human Development Report highlighted an International Country Risk Guide finding which saw Malaysia decline from a score of 4.00 in 1996 to 2.38 in 2006, with a lower score representing greater corruption. "It is worrying because it is a business index which reflects on our domestic investment, foreign direct investment and confidence in the economy," said Ramon Navaratnam, country head of graft watchdog Transparency International. "Corruption is at a critical level here," he said. He said corruption in Malaysia was deeply entrenched in the negotiation of contracts. Bribes were paid to government officials to speed up trade licences, for police protection and for loan transactions. "Our economic structure, the way we do business here, needs to be reviewed, renewed and redesigned," Navaratnam said, warning that Malaysia could lose its competitive edge if it remained "complacent and inefficient." "Malaysia can do much better if there is stronger political will to fight corruption. Given the rapid pace of globalisation and increasing economic competition among Asian countries, it's time to pull our socks up," he said. Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was elected on an anti-corruption platform in March 2004, but opposition leaders say progress has been slow. Following his government's recent drubbing in national polls he announced several measures to tackle corruption and reform what many view as a compliant judiciary. A royal commission recently authenticated a tape showing a top lawyer brokering judicial appointments with the help of politicians during the premiership of former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad. PM: No need for inquiry

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi yesterday said
there is no need for inquiry to investigate the stunning revelation by High Court judge Datuk Ian Chin of Sabah that judges were pressured into making pro-government decisions at a conference in April, 1997.
The Prime Minister and the de facto Law Minister, Datuk Zaid Ibrahim have both thought that there is no need to call for an inquiry into the latest allegation levelled by High Court judge, Justice Datuk Ian Chin against former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.
“No need…there will be no end to this. Instead, we will carry out reforms to restore confidence in the judiciary” said Abdullah.
“Another inquiry will not reveal anything more than what we already know. It will be a waste of time and money. Instead, we need to look at ensuring such incidents do not happen again…” said Zaid.
A Royal Commission of Inquiry into the two decades of judicial darkness, including the boot camp for delinquent judges, is important to fully restore public confidence in the system of justice in Malaysia. Can one assume whatever one knows before even an investigation? To be fair to both sides the accusor and the accused should be given the chance to clear their names. Why not? Unless some people are afraid they are implicated or they have something to hide. An accusation of this magnitude by a High Court judge should be given priority. One should not be so assuming as tough it is a complaint made by a small boy to his teacher.
There has been much rot and decay of the judicial system in the past two decades.
Datuk Ian Chin has made very serious allegations of Mahathir’s interference with judicial independence when he was Prime Minister , viz:
• Mahathir had gone to a judges conference “to issue a thinly veiled threat to remove judges by referring to the tribunal that was set up before”.
• Mahathir expressed unhappiness over Chin’s decision on a libel suit and an election petition, and expressed the view that people should pay heavily for libel.
• Mahathir had promoted a judge to the Federal Court because he approved of his suggestion of RM1 million as damages for libel.
• Chin also said he was sent to a “boot camp” with selected judges and judicial officers in “an attempt to indoctrinate those attending to hold the view that the government’s interest” was “more important than all else when we are considering our judgments”. He accused the then president of the Court of Appeal as the one who made the “devilish notion”.
Zaid had admitted that he was hearing about the “boot camp” for delinquent judges for the first time, adding that it was something that should not have happened.But why is he hanging back from supporting a full inquiry into the “boot camp” allegation, which until it is fully cleared up?
The Prime Minister and de facto Law Minister should realize that the best way to ensure that there is no recurrence of judicial outrages and scandals like those exposed by Chin is to unearth all the skeletons hidden in the cupboards, during the two decades of judicial darkness and subject them to the glare of public scrutiny.
Abdullah said he has finally heard the voice of the people after the March 8 “political tsunami”, and if so, he should set up a full Royal Commission of Inquiry into the two decades of judicial darkness.
Do you think this is what the overwhelming majority of Malaysians want? A proper inquiry and cleaning up?

Myanma Mercy Mission
The Melaka team has decided to send all the donations, after getting the permission from the donors to the Myanma Hospital Christian Fellowship doctors and nurses who are in Myanma.
This is so because we are not able to get the visa to get in. The leaders in Melaka think that it is not fair to keep the Melaka team at a stand by for too long.
Well I am happy that we don't go. We may end up in disaster with no proper support from the Junta. Is dangerous.
What do you think the international community need to do to help the people of Myanma with such a Junta?
Many are praying for the collapse of the Junta especially after they had been encouraged by the March 8th. Tsunami Political results in Malaysia.

RM2 billion cost-cutting announced by Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi
Recently the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi announced the RM2 billion cost-cutting package. The question is:If the government can increase oil prices from 41 to 63 per cent, why can’t it cut the entertainment allowances of cabinet ministers and deputy ministers more and not just a meagre 10%?
It is disclosed that the current entertainment allowances are RM18,865 for the prime minister, RM15,015 for the deputy prime minister, RM12,320 for ministers and RM6,000 for deputy ministers.
What about all the other allowances which ministers and deputy ministers are entitled to?
All the various forms of allowances which cabinet ministers and deputy ministers are entitled to should be made public.
